Ottawa, ON. December 10, 2019: Progress for Mental Health has become a member of a global collaborative focusing on improving mental health and addiction services.
“We were attracted to IIMHL’s system for global innovation sharing, networking and problem solving across nations. Our shared interest in mental health innovation and research sharing made it a natural fit,” said Andrea Swinton, CEO of Progress for Mental Health.
Headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership aims to enhance outcomes for people with mental health and addiction services and their families. Progress for Mental Health will connect with like-minded organizations in nine-member countries including Australia, England, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, USA, and Sweden.
“We recognize that mental health leadership is a critical component to the successful delivery of mental health services, and we look forward to participating in the IIMHL’s Leadership Exchange,” said Swinton.
Progress for Mental Health is a national charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of the one in five Canadians living with mental illness. We envision a world where mental health is treated equally to physical health. Our mandate is science, discovery and innovation.
